In September 2006, Magasinet for fagorganiserte highlighted the search for an apprenticeship in the plumbing trade. The cover of issue 7 carried the headline “The search for an apprenticeship: Ramiz got a contract”.
The search for an apprenticeship
The feature told the story of a young apprentice who, after a long and difficult search, finally received the contract he needed to progress in the trade. It was a story about determination, perseverance and the importance of an apprenticeship for someone entering working life.
A turning point
For Ramiz Safdar, the contract marked a turning point. What began with practical work in the plumbing trade has since grown into building and leading companies in construction, property, investment and retail.
